After one of the craziest years any of us have ever seen, we were all on the same page about the notion that music was a form of therapy above all other things for us at this juncture in time. We agreed we wanted to extend this therapy and form of aural reprieve to our listeners with our music projects and releases, especially with these newer recordings we're working on. We call this release “Repair Room” because it was recorded in a safe space, where we all felt comfortable for just a little while in this crazy year, and because we engage in group meditations in these recordings using crystal singing bowls, which modern science & personal experience assert that the tones and frequencies these bowls produce truly have healing, therapeutic, and restorative power. Multiple field recordings, from a binaural microphone, of these meditations were layered almost aimlessly, the serendipity of which yields an equally compelling and therapeutic sonic experience.
